Hope Services, Inc. (HSI) is a major inland vessel fabricator that has been designing and building quality commercial USCG and ABS type vessels for over two decades. Last year, we delivered five new inland waterway vessels, a multi phased docking facility as well as refurbished offshore decks and jackets. This year the shipyard has multiple contracts for the fabrication of inland waterway vessels. Our reputation has been built over the years on the idea of competitive pricing, quality ship building and unsurpassed dedication to delivery dates. Current delivery time for new vessel construction is five (5) months.
HSI is strategically located sixty (60) miles south of New Orleans, Louisiana, on the Houma Navigation Channel in Dulac, LA, four (4) miles north of the Cat Island sea buoy. We are located south of all draw bridges which provides efficient in and out access to the fabrication yard.
The 400 ton onsite crawler crane provides HSI with the capacity to lift cargo and supplies as part of our loadout services. HSI also provides dismantling of jackets and decks and the crane's 220 foot boom length enables HSI to repair jack-up legs.
In addition to its shipbuilding services, Hope’s fabrication yard includes a 150,000 square foot covered fabrication facility, three thousand (3000) linear feet of bulkhead and over 60 acres of waterfront accessible property. We are ideally situated to handle platform and jacket fabrication projects as well as provide short and long term storage needs for platforms and jackets being brought onshore.
HSI has gained an excellent reputation over the years for its consistent production of quality inland vessels. The company has become known in the industry for the ongoing production of 78 ft by 34 ft, 2,000 horsepower push boats. These vessels have a hull depth of 10 ft and a somewhat smaller draft. The 144 gross ton vessels are well suited for working American Inland Waterways. Hope Shipyard has delivered over close to 100 vessels to satisfied customers.
